New Money Playbook (“we”, “us”, “the site”) operates newmoneyplaybook.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, email us at contact@vinnysokalski.com.
Who we are
Our website address is https://newmoneyplaybook.com. We publish personal finance articles and sell digital products. We are not a bank, broker, lender, or licensed financial adviser.
What we collect and why
Information you give us
- Email address — when you join our newsletter or download a free resource. We use it to send articles, resources, and occasional offers. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Order and billing information — when you buy a digital product: name, email, billing address, and country. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Comments — if you comment on an article, we store the comment, your name, email address, IP address, and browser user agent string. This helps us detect spam.
- Anything you email us — we keep correspondence so we can answer follow-up questions.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand which articles people read, which pages they arrive from, and roughly where in the world they are. This is aggregate traffic data, not a profile of you by name.
- Cookies — small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep your shopping basket, remember your comment details, keep you logged in if you have an account, and support the analytics above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but your basket and login will not persist.
- Server logs — our host records standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
- Embedded content — articles may embed content from other sites (for example a YouTube video). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other site, and those sites may set their own cookies and track your interaction with the embed.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or buy, the company may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. To make that work, the affiliate network sets a cookie recording that you arrived from us. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full explanation.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who make the site work:
- Hosting — Hostinger, which stores the site and its database.
- Analytics — Google Analytics.
- Email — our email marketing provider, which stores your address and sending history.
- Payments — our payment processor, which handles card details and fraud checks directly. We receive only the order record and the last four digits of the card.
- Affiliate networks — which record the referral, not your identity, when you click an affiliate link.
- Law enforcement — if we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
- Comments and their metadata: indefinitely, so follow-up replies can be recognised and approved automatically.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
- Order records: as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, typically seven years.
- Analytics data: according to Google’s retention settings, currently 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@vinnysokalski.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep order records where tax law requires it. If you are in the EEA or UK you have these rights under the GDPR; if you are a California resident you have equivalent rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell personal information under either law.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Card data is handled entirely by our payment processor. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced to our email subscribers.
